AOC Raised Over $60K For Immigrant Families In Under An Hour On Instagram
"This woman gets more done in 30 minutes than most of Washington does in years."
On Monday night, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went live on Instagram and raised over $60,000 for undocumented workers and immigrant families who are being denied government assistance.
So, @AOC just took to Instagram and raised $50,000 for immigrant families who've been frozen out of government help. Incredible. pic.twitter.com/bzdWmdAALM

The Congresswoman partnered with New York's Youth Leadership Council, the first undocumented youth-led organization in the state. NYSYLC works to empower immigrant youth through leadership development, grassroots organizing, educational advancement, and self-expression - and they have been raising funds for undocumented youth and families since the beginning of the pandemic.
????We need your help! A lot of folks in our community are losing pay or impacted by covid19 in other ways and unable to...

To all those who say AOC hasn't done anything for her community, in the words of tweeter Tiffany Vazquez, "this woman gets more done in 30 minutes than most of Washington does in years."
@AOC just raised over 40k and counting for undocumented workers through @NYSYLC on IG live. This woman gets more done in 30 minutes than most of Washington does in years.

The Latino community has been disproportionately affected by our current crisis because the majority are frontline, essential workers who cannot afford to work from home and often do not have access to the same resources and health care as other communities.
AOC is working towards immigration and law enforcement reform, pay equity, and universal access to health care - policies that would ensure the well-being of our community.
That doesn't sound like "crazy socialist bullshit," it sounds like human rights, it sounds like common sense, it sounds like leadership.
