The Other "Human Caravan": Millions Of Americans Flood Mexico For Health Care
Thousands of U.S. citizens cross the border into Mexico every day.
Trump has declared a national emergency because he claims desperate "illegals" are flooding our southern border. But he never mentions the hordes of U.S. citizens flooding the border into Mexico every single day looking for affordable health care.
Truthout reports: "At just one border checkpoint in Yuma, Arizona, up to 6,000 Americans cross the border every day and enter the bustling Mexican town of Los Algodones." And Mexico welcomes them with open arms.
Why are these desperate people flooding the border? They are in search of affordable health care.
Thanks to Trump's own policies, millions of Americans across the U.S. cannot afford the rising costs of health care. Trump promised lower prices for prescription medication, instead, stories continually pop up about people who have died because they can't afford insulin. And health care premiums continue to increase.
U.S. citizens can't afford medicine and health care in their own country - that's the real national emergency.
