Three Time Zones in Chile since May
For this month of May is agreed a new change of schedule, where much of Chileans must modify their watches to be in line with the winter season.
It is important to mention that since midnight on May 14, the South American nation has three legal Time Zones.
The Chilean Navy explained that:” because of the season, those who live in the continental territory of the country delayed their watches one hour to midnight on May 13”.
However, those who live in Easter Island, Salas y Gómez or the Juan Fernández Archipelago, called the Insular Territory, must do the same but at 10:00 pm.
Residents of the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic will maintain the regular Time Zone, so the southern nation maintains three legal hours at the same time.
