Letty B: The Bay Area’s Hottest On Air Latina on 99.7 NOW!
Voted hottest woman in radio in 2012, Letty isn’t just a pretty face. Growing up in East LA in a predominantly Mexican community, Letty taught herself English as a child, and studied Journalism at Cal State Long Beach. As a young girl she always had a fascination with radio, calling in to local radio stations to win tickets, recording herself winning on the air. She has never forgotten that excitement of winning, and now she loves to provide that same experience to her listeners.
Letty bravely uprooted from her close Mexican family (much to the dismay of her parents) to pursue her dream of being in radio and moved up to Monterey where she was on the air at 102.5 KDON. Not long after transplanting to Northern California, she was sought out and hired for the midday slot at 99.7 in San Francisco, the #4 radio market in the entire country. Fast forward 4 years and she is one of the most beloved on-air personalities in the Bay Area, especially with her devoted Latino listeners and fans. She brings a fun and sassy Latina perspective to the airwaves, connecting with listeners from SF to the South Bay. Her bubbly, down to earth personality makes you feel like you’re her best friend. She is passionate about connecting with so many people through music, and as a Mexican-American, having the opportunity to represent the Latino community.
Letty’s advice to young Latinas who have big dreams and may be struggling to gain the support of their families is to follow your passion and dreams no matter what struggles you may face along the way, because you are capable of anything you put your mind to!
When she’s not on the air or interviewing celebrities like Pitbull (her favorite!), she’s exploring the Bay Area, doing yoga, and spending time with her adorable Chihuahua, Foxy.
