Los Tigres Del Norte Will Kick Off Super Bowl LIV
Los Jefes de Jefes will be kicking off the Super Bowl LIV broadcast in Spanish.
Move over JLo and Shakira.
FOX Deportes, the first network in the U.S. to ever broadcast the Super Bowl in Spanish, has announced that Los Tigres del Norte will headline their coverage of Super Bowl LIV.
The network aims to celebrate "the legacy of Los Tigres del Norte, the 100 seasons of the NFL, and the passion felt by Hispanics for football."
Reaction to the announcement has been enthusiastic:
finding out that los tigres del norte are going to perform at the super bowl is the best thing i’ve ever heard ???????????? pic.twitter.com/LgNoWL09gc— emely???? (@emelyxavila) January 24, 2020
Even non-football fans will be tuning in...

So far, neither Los Tigres or the network have released any details about what we can expect from this team-up.
Whatever they have in store for us, including a regional music act in the Super Bowl lineup is an epic first -- and that's in addition to JLo and Shakira, the first Latinas to ever headline half-time.
These "firsts" speak to the power of Mexican and Latino music, and the power of the Mexican and Latino demographic.
We're taking over this Jaula de Oro.
