Forget Disney, This 3yo Mexican Girl Insisted On A "The Nun"-Themed Horror Birthday Party
Latinos love horror - and, apparently, we start young.
No Disney princesses for Little Lucía from Nuevo León, México, who insisted on celebrating her 3rd cumpleaños in a pretty unconventional way - dressed as a demonic nun.
"When your daughter turns three years old, and her favorite character is la monja," wrote Lucía's mom, Laura, in a Facebook post sharing photos of her daughter dressed as the title character from the 2018 horror film, "The Nun," ("La Monja" in Spanish).
According to Lucía's cousin Andrea, who tweeted about the unconventional theme, Lucía first saw "La Monja" at her grandmother's house and insisted on watching the whole thing
So it was my cousins 3rd birthday and instead of having a normal theme she chose this pic.twitter.com/U3FYpeGKTM— ANDREA (@dreeaaxo_) June 5, 2019
And if anyone was wondering yes her friends also participated in the theme pic.twitter.com/DDBnU2Qfmg— ANDREA (@dreeaaxo_) June 5, 2019
Still, it came as a bit of a surprise to her mom and familia when Lucía insisted she wanted her 3rd birthday party to be "Nun"-themed, from the piñata to the pastel.
But, as Laura wrote in her Facebook post: "Anything to see her happy!"
