Tucanes De Tijuana, J. Balvin, Bad Bunny, y Más Set To Play Coachella 2019
Seems like Coachella is finally recognizing the power and scope of Latino music and fans.
Latin music was streamed 70 billion times in the U.S. alone last year, and represented 8 out of the 10 most-viewed videos on YouTube; it's no wonder Coachella's lineup is starting to reflect the exploding popularity of Latin music.
According to Billboard, Coachella's 2019 lineup spans the spectrum from regional to reggaeton to alternative, featuring J. Balvin, Bad Bunny, Mon Laferte, española Rosalía, Javiera Mena, Tomasa del Real, Ocho Ojos...and, "making history," Los Tucanes de Tijuana.

#InvasionTucanes llega a @Coachella Fest 2019 así es que primero Dios, nos veremos en El famoso Festival de #Coachella! Corran la voz para que juntos hagamos historia y que nuestro género siga creciendo y conquistando diferentes culturas! #LosTucanesDeTijuana #Tucanes #Coachella2019 #MarioQuintero #LaChona #LaChonaChallenge #EchelePrimo
Whereas in 2018 Bad Bunny and J Balvin side-kicked for Cardi B and Beyoncé, this year the reggaetoneros, along with Los Tucanes, will each have their own solo set: Los Tucanes will play Friday of both weekends, J. Balvin both Saturdays, and Bad Bunny both Sundays.
We may not be headlining - yet...but soon. Like Los Tucanes said in their IG post:
"Que nuestro género siga creciendo y conquistando diferentes culturas!"
"May our genre keep growing and conquering different cultures."
